[once everything's chilled out a bit, akira will do the rounds to make sure that serph and bellamy come for a little meeting at he and raven's hut.

and once everyone's all gathered, he'll just keep it simple.]

Everything this week and what happened at the trial got me thinking that we need to be better at watching each other's backs—on Thursdays especially.

[things worked out for them this time—but it could have gotten bad if they didn't have enough alibis to cover them.

in any case, there's less of that nerdy schoolboy pretense here than he usually has, for whatever that's worth.]

[Bellamy looks absolutely wiped, and he's sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall opposite Akira. Even exhausted as he is, the shift in Akira's demeanor is pretty obvious, though he's getting used to it now.]

We should sleep in one hut on Thursdays. It's safer.

[ Serph just takes the shift in Akira's bearing right in stride. It was clear enough to him, from the time they've spent together last week, that he's made of far tougher stuff than coffee and bad puns, and a misleading demeanor doesn't make someone any less strong.

(Case in point: Cielo.)

He...nods silently, as everyone in this hut is probably getting quite used to. ]

[She's probably leaning against Bellamy as he leans against the wall, head resting casually on his shoulder. She shifts a little as Akira speaks.]

Sounds like a plan. A much safer one than what we've got so far, too.

[jokered]

[a nod of agreement.]

We can alternate huts and sleep in shifts—at least two awake at a time. It'll keep us safer from outside threats and secure an alibi a bit better.

[jettisons]

I'm in. We'll keep a close eye on each other.

[varunastra]

[ A nod. And hey, three people is enough to sit on him and make him behave if he gets a little hangry. ]

[hydrazine]

[She imagines Serph's answer to her next question is a yes, and she knows Bellamy's will be, so she looks at Akira.]

Shifts are fine with me, but you've got experience staying awake for long periods of time, right? Wouldn't want you dozing off.

[jokered]

[his talking cat definitely tries to force him to go to bed early almost all the time, but whatever!! it's fine!!]

I've definitely had nights where I planned on going to bed early and then stayed up until almost sunrise doing nothing of value.

[he's a modern teenager with an internet connection.]

I wouldn't suggest it if I didn't think I could handle it, it's fine.

[Bellamy nods, and, that taken care of, switches gears.]

What are we going to do about next week? There are four people on the chopping block now.
