week three ♡ wednesday ♡ magilou
[night falls, chaos ensues...
and eventually calms, to some extent.
even akira calms to some extent, after some actual, legitimate yelling and a little bit of punching. but sleep? sleep is definitely not happening, because his adrenaline is too high and he's still pretty furious, all thing considered.
he's got enough consideration to not wake other people who clearly need it. so he heads away from his hut at the top end and heads towards what was haru and yato's at the other end so he can pace off some of this energy and try to find some of his chill.
because apparently, he's got none of that right now.]

...I didn't say I want to do that again. Being a mouse sucks, you can't open doors at all.
[....................]
no subject
That's why you go under the door instead!
[Akira you need "how to be a mouse" lessons]
no subject
[this is a conversation they're having.]
no subject
You didn't say they were ship doors.
You're right; being a mouse does suck.
[not that she has experience]
no subject
[funny, how much more honest he's been about his experience with her.]
no subject
[but she finally stands, shaking the last few droplets of water out of her hair. they're probably only like ankle deep or so in the surf]
I assume this happened during one of your heart-stealing escapades? You'll seriously have to tell me more about them sometime.
[so she can write them down. maybe]
no subject
Yeah, during one of those. [casually.] It was our last heist before... this.
[showing up here. and with haru gone:] Maybe the last one ever, for real.
no subject
[also? considering she doesn't know the full circumstances of his home situation, she is totally misinterpreting that]
Hey hey hey, where'd that defeatist attitude come from?! Don't go giving up and dying on me yet! I mean, sure, I'd win my bet, but I want to savor it before I do!
no subject
[he shakes his head.]
I'm not planning on dying.
no subject
[puffs up]
Be more clear next time! Murder island makes it super easy to misconstrue seemingly innocent statements like that one!
[wait]
-- why was it your last?
no subject
[reforming him was going to have an impact on a lot of people—or so they hoped, but everyone had been apathetic and reluctant to believe it, so... who knows.]
Either way, without Haru— [it's not the same.]
no subject
[she finishes for him]
[. . . which. actually brings up another question, somewhat related to what he told her earlier. a question she asks for literally no other purpose than. . . she's curious. the type of question someone asks when they just want to get to know someone better, as a person]
How many people are on your little heart thieving team back home, anyway?
no subject
[so she knows what to call them. and then, he answers easily:]
Eight of us total.
no subject
[oh she's going for her book again. and popping it open]
Tell me about them!
no subject
...he didn't really expect her to ask that, of all things. before, it made sense because haru was one of them. but this—magilou's asking more questions about him and his life than expected.]
What do you want to know?
no subject
You could start with names, brief descriptions, horoscopes, and shoe sizes.
[OKAY. . .]
no subject
no subject
[she says with that judgmental air]
[of course she doesn't actually expect him to know shoe sizes, but you know]
no subject
[like that, apparently.]
no subject
For the record, I'm a six-and-a-half.
no subject
[??? because you know. that's a thing that will ever happen.]
no subject
See? It always pays to be prepared!
no subject
[how did he even flip this around, what are they doing.]
no subject
I'm afraid mine is classified information.
no subject
How will I ever know if we're compatible allies, then? [allies. friends. lovers. whatever.]
